We've had our Christmas lights up since the week after Halloween. And by the looks of things on Facebook over the last month, this world is filled with a large population people that decompensate at the thought of seeing someone hang Christmas lights up before Thanksgiving.
Why is that? Why would some people care that their neighbor or some random stranger or business would put up Christmas lights before Thanksgiving? I have no explanation why this brings such anger to some folks in this world. We often turn our lights on well before Thanksgiving. I like seeing the festive display as I pull into our driveway after a long day at work. I know many of the neighbor kids enjoy watching the bright LED lights and icicles that light up our home.
So what if it isn't Thanksgiving yet. Why all the drama? The thought of caring whether a neighbor turns their lights on or not doesn't even cross my radar. More power to them if they want to light up their home a month early. What are your thoughts?
