I had the opportunity to receive some of my medical school and internal medicine residency training through a VA system. The culture of (rhymes with craziness) started at the top and didn't stop until it made its way all the way down to the cleaning lady who wouldn't change the sheets if she didn't see any stains. Heck, we had attending physicians taking trips hundreds of miles away while interns and residents kept patients alive. We had nurses gorging themselves with three hour Swedish meatball parties while unstable patients withered swiftly to their grave. Nothing against hard working VA nurses, it's just that I've never met one. Ever. Oh, that and it's your turn for a little VA someecard action. You know it's true. Don't even try and deny it.
