Our little Zachary is growing up so quickly. Where did those last seven weeks go? Here he is in this video strengthening his neck muscles with his tummy time exercises. Tummy time is the act of laying a baby on their stomach to make them lift their head. It's an exercise meant to strengthen their neck muscles to improve balance when they sit in the upright position. Marty, our almost eight year old Italian greyhound decided to get in on the action in this picture and video below. It's really cute, especially if you're a dog or Italian greyhound fan. Marty starts rubbing his head in his neck exercise part way through the video.
In the first picture, Cooper, our other Italian greyhound isn't quite sure what to make of tummy time with Zachary. Maybe he's just keeping guard and trying to protect him. The second picture has Marty and Zachary together at the three month mark. It looks like Marty has now had enough with the tummy time! As you can see, he's challenged Zachary to a dual.
