You know you're a radiologist if you spend half your day reading normal chest x-rays and the other half popping vitamin D tablets in the darkness of your isolated cubicle away from all the hectic death and disease of patient care. I know radiologists are used to peace and quiet. They live their daily existence in near total darkness, surrounded only by the glowing light of stock tickers and the occasional phone call from their friendly hospitalist raising more questions than answers.
So it came as no surprise to me when I found this sign on the door into the radiologist's reading room. I've never seen a do not knock sign like this before. I've seen a few knock before entering signs on patient doors but never a do not knock sign. This funny door sign
