Well, we've flown past the two week mark with our new Baby Zachary. After a drop of 9% body weight and few days on the BiliBlanket, I think it was the diligence of Mrs Happy and her Brest Friend pillow
that saved him. He has stormed past his birth weight of 6 pounds 12 ounces and now tops the scales at 7 pounds 3 ounces on his 20th day of life on earth, gaining over a pound in the last two weeks of life. The unmistakable benefits of breastfeeding are well documented across the spectrum of health care. It's a passionate debate between the breastfeeding haves and the breastfeeding have nots. We are in the breastfeeding haves camp.
I did not know this, but in the recent old days, breastfeeding was unheard of. Which is strange since humans have survived thousands of years without formula and breast pumps. Despite what some grandmothers may have been taught, for babies that lose weight, mothers do not need to get their milk tested to see if it is rotten.

Some weight loss is normal. And difficulties with breastfeeding can usually be overcome with a little help from lactation experts. Even though Zach's newborn baby ink feet stamps were huge, the little fella was often too sleepy to eat when he arrived in his jaundiced state. He tried and tried and tried. He even had a great newborn breastfeeding pose, but the weight kept dropping. And it wasn't because of his football pacifier.
We had our ups and downs early on. We discovered that Marty and Cooper, our Italian greyhounds, do well with newborns. In fact, we even trained Marty to be our dirty diaper early warning detector. Then finally, we got to enjoy the fruits of our labors.
And I think we owe all of Zach's early success to the dedication and determination of Mrs Happy and her tax deductible breastfeeding supplies, specifically the Brest Friend Pillow. I've used the Brest Friend a few times myself to hold the little fella in my arms. I think placing him on the Brest Friend pillow might even make him feel like feeding.
What's my review on the pillow? Two thumbs up.
Even Marty agrees with his unique take on it all as seen in his picture review of the Brest Friend pillow. As you can see, the Brest Friend pillow can do more than just help you breastfeed your baby.
And when Zachary is too old to use the Brest Friend Pillow, I could donate it to Happy's hospital. Patient's are always stealing the hospital pillows. Or, I might keep it and use it as a TV tray. Something tells me though Marty and I are going to be fighting for it.
