Well folks, it's official. I have fallen off the lifestyle wagon and joined the ranks of the rest of my fellow Americans full speed ahead into super morbid obesity. With Obamacare promising to provide me with a lifetime of health care at no additional cost to me for my new found obesity, I have decided life is just easier to stop exercising and eat at Arby's twice a day. There is just no reason for me to sacrifice my time and energy to say healthy, eat right and exercise every day. Lifestyle simply doesn't pay in our new reality. So here I am, in all my obesity glory. It's only been a month since I gave up my running log and started my fast food diet. As someone who can now relate to all my fellow Americans who have chosen the path of least resistance, I promise never to speak of the consequences of poor lifestyle choices ever again. So what is my new favorite meal? Twice a day (I don't eat breakfast) I help myself to the following Arby's delight:
- Arby's large Beef 'n Cheddar Sandwich (630 cal, 29 g fat, 2270 mg sodium)
- Fish Sandwich (540 cal, 23 g fat, 960 mg sodium)
- Medium sized curly fry (600 cal, 31 g fat, 1550 mg sodium)
- Healthy calorie free iced tea.
Total for my new cheap, easy and low stress meal?
- 1,770 calories
- 83 g fat
- 4,780 mg sodium
As a twice a day meal plan, I am now consuming 3,540 calories, 164 grams of fat and just under 10 grams of sodium, not including all the candy and chips I snack on during the day. And I never feel hungry.
So, to all the folks who find themselves in the situation I now find myself, I apologize from the bottom of my heart for all the posts I have previously written regarding the benefits of lifestyle. As someone who is now living your reality, I understand, appreciate and empathize with the plight you find yourself in everyday. I'm glad we are now on the same page. This new life of mine is just so much easier. Plus, I'll have a lot more time to spend with the arrival of our new baby Happy this spring. Life couldn't get much better.
