Here's an audio file of Mrs Happy's 14 week fetal heart tones using a home fetal heart tone monitor we obainted from a friend who got it off craigslist. Turn up the volume if you want to hear Mrs Happy' fetal heart tones. Pretty cool huh?
Here's a picture of the home doppler fetal heart tone monitor we used:
This one is made by Stork Radio, but you can find a whole bunch of fetal heart monitors
on Amazon. Make sure you get your ultrasound gel
too. We looked every where for it locally and couldn't find any. Apparently, home fetal heart tone monitoring isn't a big thing 'round my parts. So we bought some K-Y gel
instead, you know, for the fetal doppler. We're told it works just as well, you know, for checking heart tones, you know.
What do you think? Any pregnant women out there ever use a fetal heart tone monitor at home for peace of mind?
