Where were you on 911 and what were you doing? An Anniversary Day to Remember

Where were you on  911 and what were you doing?  On this anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks, most folks can recall in vivid detail what they were doing.  It falls along the lines of the original space shuttle explosion.  For that I was sitting in my seventh grade cafeteria during study hall.

For 9/11 I was rounding on my patients during internal medicine wards as a second year resident when I remember walking into a room and looking up at a television and watching in horror as one of the Twin Towers burned in flames.  But I kept rounding, and then I remember seeing the other one explode in horror.  Then I remember wondering where my family was since my parents, I believe were traveling in the area on that day.

Where were you and what were you doing when you first found out about the 911 attacks?
