I saw this pack of Camel Crush cigarettes sitting on a picnic table during Memorial Day festivities while our niece had fun turning herself into a worm with a bunch of swimming tubes. The very first thought that came to my mind was
Wow. That's a neat design and a crazy idea. I bet kids would love to try these just because of the word "crush." The next thing that came to mind for me was how delicious Orange Crush was.
Most long term smokers start before the legal age of smoking. That means it's up to kids to keep these companies going for generations to come. Years ago advertising restrictions were placed on cigarette manufacturers. For RJ Reynolds that meant no more cartoons for the Camel brand. But anyone without cataracts can clearly see how fascinating this cigarette box would be to the unsuspecting but curious underage kid and soon to be tobacco addict.
The box is hip. It's sharp. It has clean lines. Even the word crush is synonymous with those great feelings they have for Justin or Brittany when they are just 10 years old. Not only is the name, color and design scheme a giant underage advertisement, this technological cigarette actually has an option to change the taste. I asked the owner of this pack what happened when he squeezed the filter.
It turned the cigarette from a regular one into a menthol cigarette.Unbelievable. Now we have cigarettes that can transform themselves by squeezing the filter. If you want to quit smoking, you're going to have problems. What teenager wouldn't want to try a camel crush? Our only hope is to make the price of cigarettes so high that no teenager can afford them or make them quit smoking for good if they've already started. We don't want our children addicted to Camel Crush or any other brand of cigarette. As you can see from this 10 second video below, we have already started training our 22 old month Zachary to hate tobacco. Good job Zachary. Never forget how nasty they are. Ack!
