Atlanta Snow Storm Shuts Down The City 2010 and 2011 (Pictures)

Atlanta Snow storm UPDATES 2011!  My sister lives in Atlanta. She tells me snow is not common, but does happen on occasion. How much snow does it take to  shut down the city? In my neck of the woods, it takes quite a bit. What about Atlanta? How much snow does it take for Atlanta to shut their city down?  How much Atlanta snow does it take for the schools to close, businesses to lock up and the government to send everyone home?  Apparently not much at all.  Here's a picture of my sister's Atlanta snow covered backyard!  It looks like a dusting to me!  As she explains:
Just thought you'd get a kick out of what closes schools in Atlanta. It sure is pretty but since Atlanta drivers don't know how to drive in good weather, let alone with this weather, the city shuts down.
There you have it folks.  The Atlanta snow  storm of the century (or at least 2010).  I heard it might snow in Orlando this weekend.  How's that for global warming.     Below are some more pictures from   this December 2010 storm and the January 2011 snow storm.

Rule #1 in an Atlanta snowstorm: Don't take the Ford Mustang out for a spin, 'cause that's all you're gonna be doin'.  You won't make it home with your snowstorm survival beer!
