How Does A 98 Year Old Present To The ED?

________________________________

I snapped this picture in a public ED.  I could hear the lady checking in.  She's 98 year's old.  And she presented to the ED by private auto.  Wheeled up to the front desk.  Checked in.  And waited her turn in line.

It's not every day you make it to 98 and you're not coming cutting in line by way of ambulance.

"Public ED". Sorry, that just struck me as funny. No, this is a members-only ED. Dress code strictly enforced.

Not terribly uncommon for LOLs to show up by car with a family member. She's probably on colace, calcium bid, and occasional ibuprofen for arthritis. She never goes to the ER, but her comprehensive care doc sent her in for "confusion" to "rule out stroke", but we all know it's just a UTI.

for the love of God treat quickly and get her out of the hospital or she'll be leaving in a ambulance. if she's admitted every specialst will get their hands on her and then god knows what they'll do.
