I had no idea Cooper was that much bigger than a buffalo!

What kind of trip to yellowstone is it if you can't even go hiking on a trail, even the short ones, due to bringing a pet along.

How do you know they didn't go hiking on a trail?

I grew up near buffalo lands. We never get out of the car when we're in their territory. They're pretty darn dangerous, way more dangerous that you might think.

We mostly did a driving tour. It was cool enough to keep the pets in the car (50's-60's).

We did venture out once. Got caught in a lightening storm and cut it short.

It is suggested that you venture out with pepper spray when hiking in the back country. We had none. We had family who aren't physically equipped to go on long hiking trips. It was a great time none the less.

While we were there a guy carrying pepper spray and a pistol was attacked by a black bear and bitten in his neck and leg. He hiked 3 miles after the attack to get help. I"m not exactly looking for danger. It was a great trip the way we planned it.

You're mistaken. You cannot have had a good time if you didn't do it the way other people think you should have.
