There are no primary care doctors accepting Medicare in Chattanooga, TN. At least that's what a subspecialist at Happy's hospital told me was his experience.
I have never understood how any doc could be for single-payer national health insurance. ALL the studies show that the Feds pay less than those mean old evil insurance companies (tm). The Feds play these games with an effectively monsopsonistic position (As the only purchaser of a good or service, the "monopsonist" may dictate terms to its suppliers in the same manner that a monopolist controls the market for its buyers) how much worse will be it be an absolute monopsonistic position?
The only PMDs in their right mind who are doing so are the ones employed by hospitals and have no other choice.
