That's what I heard from an ICU nurse after I chose watchful waiting after extubating my formerly drunk, possibly high patient that stopped responding to a sternal rub and developed a disconjugate gaze. Concerned about stroke? Possibly.That's why you're the doctor.
An hour later, he was walking out the door. Motivation? I have no idea. Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing.



An excellent ICU nurse he is, but sometimes the best thing to do is to do nothing.
