Pet Cancer From Your Smoking. You Should Be Ashamed Of Yourself.

Did you know your pets are getting cancer from your smoking.  Poor Fido.    What did your pet ever do to hurt you?  Poor little Cuddles.  All he wanted to do was love you.  Love without strings.  And you gave him cancer.  How sad for your pet or your pet therapy dog.  Shame on you for killing man's best friend.
Help the plight of smoked up dogs and cats.  It's up to you America to get them to quit smoking for good.  You might even have to use my smoking lecture.  If you're a doctor, bill for it using CPT 99406 and 99407.  Whatever it takes.  Maybe even help them get some free Chantix.  Own the problem.  Make it happen.

By the way, as a physician, I have used the your pets are getting cancer from your smoking line multiple times and the response is always one of shock.  People won't quit smoking for themselves, but they will for their pets.  It's another tool in the arsenal  to put tobacco farming out of business.

3 Outbursts:

  1. I am sure that there are some folks out there who don't care about their own health, but would be willing to change their behaviours to protect their pets.

Interestingly, I have heard that cats are also at risk for tongue cancer. It seems that the pollutants from tobacco smoke land on their fur, which they proceed to lick whilst cleaning themselves.

  2. If we know of a pet that has a smoker as owner should we call PETA? Maybe PETA can put the pet in a foster home until the owner makes a smoke free healthy environment by quitting.
