Divorce Over Smoking? Yes or No?

People get divorced for many reasons.    You can add divorce over smoking to the list of no nos.  A current movie (I haven't seen it) apparently depicts one couple as doing just that.
Is a partner who smokes a big enough reason to get a divorce?   What if they could get free Chantix? Is it reasonable to expect your partner to quit and not lie about it?  Is the issue the lying or the smoking?  What do you think?  Would you get mad if your Apple computer warranty was voided?

UPDATE:  Chantix lawsuits, here we come.

1 Outbursts:

  1. It sounds like she was divorcing him only partly for smoking. With my extensive knowledge of this movie (I now know that it stars Jennifer Connelly and Bradly Cooper and... that's about it), I would say that she is divorcing him for dishonesty. A relationship where you can't trust someone is a dangerous relationship indeed.

That said, I would never have even considered dating someone who smokes, so that is not an issue that I will have to consider.
