well i think its adult respiratory distress syndrome since this is an ICU patient and patchy lungs may indicate infiltration,penumonia is a possible too since she has a scolosis-a pretty bad one- and a denture (oral hygeine maybe defective) adam issolom@yahoo.co.uk
Without relevant history I will not formulate a differential, but, here's what I can see on the X-Ray so far...

2. Aortic calcification,
3. Osteopenia,
4. Bilateral haziness of both lung fields R>L,
5. Some interstitial process, honeycombing,
6. Blunting of CPAs,
6. Enlarged heart shadow,
7. ??? Pericardial effusion?
8. Dentures :-)
9. Older female obviously
What else?
renal failure. (that's a dialysis cather)

ReplyDeleteBlah, blah, blah..................blah. A CT angiogram followed by a gadolinium contrast MRI may be more definitive. Clinical correlation recommended.
