What I see on the streets of Michigan, the most obese state in the US, is about 40% of people are overweight and obese. I guess many of them can't even get outdoors to walk?
wouldn't we just redefine 'normal' weight? that way all of us currently at BMI 19-25 can be considered 'anorexic' in the future and get appropriate psych care for our eating and exercise disorders. I mean, clearly if the majority of folks are overweight-extremely obese, the rest of us have some body dysmorphic issue, right? Perhaps it's OCD about staying healthy and fit?
Guess I'll have to take up smoking like my folks in the 60's to stay skinny...
ReplyDeleteHow does a BS paper like that get published in a reputable journal?
ReplyDeleteThese idiots are our so-called "experts"? Sounds more like self-interested alarmist scaremongering to me.
Kinda like global warming.
My ass -15C last night! Brrrr.

ReplyDeleteAll a matter of perspective.
Awwww, that would take my dream of "someday clocking in as anorexic" away forever...(like it's ever going to happen anyway...) :(
