If you didn't get an invite, and you want one, email me at happyhospitalistATgmailDOTcom. I want to see some great ideas for protocols out there Here's the email I sent:
I have created a project on google documents that I would like yourhelp with. I am giving you access to view and edit hospital protocols that I use as a physician. I should have the system set up so you can also invite other doctors to view and edit the documents, in real time. If you have a google account, you should be able to view and edit my documents (I trust you). My goal, if it works, is to get a large selection of physicians to leave their input on hospital protocols, potentially increasing safety and decreasing costs at the same time. They are also printable as well. If you wish, take a look at the protocol. I'm starting with our pneumonia order set, but others will follow. Invite others you think may add some wisdom to the project.

Thank you for doing this.
ReplyDeleteI have collected 15-20 sample admission notes for the most common medicine admissions when I was a chief resident but they are mostly focused on collecting history and DDx rather than management:

Your project is aiming at the next level. I will reference you notes with a link on my website, unless you disagree, of course,
A relatively good book with ready-made admission orders is Current Clinical Strategies Medicine. You may want to check it out:

Hey I want in.
ReplyDeleteThese order sets are no longer available. They have changed to much since I placed them up originally
