Now that my stethoscope if functioning, I should institute the triple point. A long lost art, handed down for generations across the orthopaedic lineage, and finding refuge into hurried practitioners everywhere.
At the base of the breast bone, otherwise known as the sternum, lies the point of maximal efficiency. Where one can listen to the heart, lungs and abdomen in one fell swoop. And nobody can tell you that you didn't.

AKA: The PMI "Point of maximum information". I love it when an orthopod wants to borrow my stethoscope - I just want to ask "Why?"
ReplyDeleteWe always used to call that the orthopod point. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh that makes me want a nice, tall glass of water at its triple point!
