A new drug is being marketed to children.
Its chewable, cherry-flavored dextrose tablets, Obecalp, for placebo spelled backward, goes on sale on June 1 at the Efficacy Brands Web site. Bottles of 50 tablets will sell for $5.95. The Buettners have plans for a liquid version, too.
Words of advice
- Fill up a glass of cold water
- Mix in some sugar
- Drop in some red food coloring
Done. Now you've turned your kid into a druggie. Congratulations. You should be proud of yourself.

I agree. thinking up a placebo for your kid! Stupid as two boxes of hair! Gosh, let's teach them there is a pill or medicine for everything. Feel better now? I remember my mother putting a cold cloth on my head or offering special "sick" food like Jell-O, pudding, Saltines, or apple juice. Worked fine!
ReplyDeletePerhaps it can be prescribed by your ED commrades for narcotic seekers. Rx for Obecalp take 1 to 2 q 4 h prn pain. Think of it as a "novel" approach to their treatment plan. As a pharmacist, I'd be happy to keep this in stock for them
